1.Irregular periods or no periods at all.
2. Difficulty getting pregnant (because of irregular ovulation or failure to ovulate)
3.Excessive hair growth (hirsutism) – usually on the face, chest, back or buttocks.
4.Weight gain.
5.Higher levels of androgen (male hormones) shown in blood tests or through symptoms like acne, male-pattern balding, or extra hair growth on your face, chin, or body.
6.Cysts in your ovaries as shown in an ultrasound exam.

If it isn't treated, over time it can lead to serious health problems, such as diabetes, heart disease, and even cancers! Most women with PCOS grow many small cysts on their ovaries. That is why it is called polycystic ovary syndrome. The cysts themselves are not harmful but lead to hormone imbalances.
